Transport
Exploring the national parks and getting to most destinations outside the city limits will require some kind of vehicle. Both car and bicycle rentals are available in Revelstoke.
Note that the Meadows in the Sky Parkway in Mount Revelstoke National Park is not suitable for vehicles towing trailers or large recreational vehicles.
Air Travel Scheduled air service is through Kelowna (the closest at just two hours by car), Kamloops, the Canadian Rockies International Airport near Cranbrook, and Calgary International, via a number of airlines. Car rentals are available at those airports. While Revelstoke does have a small airport, it is used primarily by private and charter aircraft.
Public Transportation Greyhound operates four buses per day to destinations east and west only. Passengers can disembark at Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park, but need to make prior arrangements with Greyhound for pickup. The City of Revelstoke, in conjunction with BC Transit, operates a bus service within the city. Limited taxi service is also available.
During the ski season, a free shuttle bus service to nearby Revelstoke Mountain Resort is offered from various pickup points in town, including the larger hotels. Free maps of downtown Revelstoke and the Kootenay Rockies region are available at the Visitor Centre on Campbell Avenue.

Rockford Wok | Bar | Grill
Located inside the Nelsen Lodge across from the Revelation Gondola, the Rockford Wok Bar Grill is a 160-seat casual upscale dining facility offering a delicious range of menu options, great atmosphere, friendly and efficient service, specialty cocktails and extensive wine list.
Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks; Rockford offers a host of traditional dishes with a tasty twist, as well as an exciting selection of Asian-themed, wok-fired dishes.
WINO the Wine Bar
Wino the Wine Bar is located across from the Rockford wok | bar | grill at the lower level of Nelsen Lodge Building 3. The second dining option to be built at the base of the resort featuring wines from across B.C. coupled with rustic hearty flat breads, scrumptious apres and luscious furnishings.
WINO will compliment the existing dining experience currently offered by the Rockford wok | bar | grill.
Mid-Mountain Lodge
Open only during the winter season from December to April. The stunning post-and-beam Mid-Mountain Lodge features a cafeteria-style restaurant with an espresso bar, outdoor deck with a barbecue and seating for 215 people.
Some of the tasty menu items include homemade burgers, a selection of panini and deli sandwiches, a "build your own" pasta station, chili in a bread bowl, a kids' menu, and fresh, homemade baking.
All of your favorite hot and cold beverages can be found at the espresso bar, including coffee from Oso Negro, and Mount Begbie beer on tap.
Dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the spectacular Columbia Valley, and for those mild, sunny days, enjoy a freshly-grilled bison burger on the 2,400 square foot deck with seating for 120.
Denny's 24 Hour Restaurant
Located at the Sandman Inn downtown Revelstoke, 1701 Laforme Boulevard, a short 10-mintue drive from the Nelsen Lodge. Denny's 24-hour family restaurant offers a variety of food and drink options including special seniors, kids and late night menu items.
